day 11: trapped
The kids have started a new game called "trapped". They like to crawl under the table and have me surround them with chairs so they can't get out. They then proceed to yell, "Help! We're trapped!". Or rather, E yells that and B screams "DA! DA!!" Then they "escape" and have me do it all over again.
Sometimes they trap me. They love that.
We're still sick as dogs around here. A few minutes after this picture E went down again, her fever rising to 103. Poor girl. She's sleeping in bed with Hubs and I tonight because her voice is completely gone. She wouldn't be able to yell for help if she needs us. We'll see how that goes, and also how it goes when I explain to her that she doesn't get to do that again.
Normally I like the kids being in focus, but for purposes of the game, this is actually a great depiction. I wanted to capture them playing trapped; and the focus on the stool makes it seem as though they are trapped behind it. I like that I framed them within the stool and the table leg but I think it would've been more powerful to have the picture totally straight rather than at an angle. Also, a reflector on the right side would've been ideal so I could bounce some more light in from that direction.
