a girl and her dog

Once upon a time there was a 4-year-old girl who loved a stuffed poodle with all her heart.  Sparkle came everywhere with the girl and was more beloved than any toy could hope to be.   She became dirty and ragged, but in the eyes of the girl, she was as perfect as the day she was brought home.  You see, true love is like that;  when our baggage and fears and hurts scar us, those that truly love us see only the beauty that shines through.  If only we could each love each other the way a child loves a toy.  And so, I give you, a girl and her dog.

As the weather has warmed, we spend each afternoon outside.  J and I normally sit inside our front entrance with the door open.  Normally J is in her boppy and I'm feeding her while we watch the kids running, laughing, playing, and admittedly, occasionally fighting.  I love these afternoons.  Life is truly good for us right now.  What a blessed momma I am.
