day 2

We're getting ready to welcome my sister-in-law home from a 18 month mission in Ohio/Brazil.  She's coming home tomorrow and we are THRILLED to see her.  The kids and I made some welcome home signs for her today and I just had to capture the joy on their faces.

If I were to take this picture again, I would get down a little lower so I was looking more head on at the kids.  Maybe even stepping a bit to my right to get more of my daughter's profile.  There are also more shadows than I would like.  Ultimately, I would have a reflector to even things out a bit.  I'm trying not to Photoshop too much because I want to see how I'm doing in my raw photography skills.

Also, my table does have those yellow streaks-it's not my photo skills doing that :)  I painted it white, but the finish turned it a bit yellow.  I mean to change it, but lets face it, I'm putting it off because I love not caring if my kids color all over it:)
