day 3: Missionary comes home and a bus ride

My sister-in-law arrived home from her LDS mission to Ohio/Brazil yesterday.  The kids and I went to the airport to welcome her back.  I was a little stressed that the parking garage was full because it meant I needed to lug both kids (under 3), all the posters, my camera, diaper bag, everyone's coats...on and on:) without my stroller-forgotten at home.  But luckily, we ran into Nate's parents on the way in, and they helped me.  The kids were THRILLED that they got to ride a "bus" (shuttle) to the airport.

I meant to get an awesome picture of C hugging my mother-in-law. However, the moment she arrived, I was holding 2 crying kids.  So I did get a snapshot, but nothing beautiful like I had hoped.

As far are as my critique goes, I wish I would've stood up to get a better angle instead of trying to take the picture sitting next to him on the bus.  That would've helped the pole right behind his head.  The rest of it is blurred nicely, but the pole is a little distracting to my eye.  I find that my biggest weakness in photography is that I'm so concerned with being a bother to people.  My personality is one that doesn't ever want to inconvenience someone or break the rules (gasp!)  I had the thought to stand up to take the shot, but I didn't want to bother people, so I stayed sitting.  Truth is, they probably wouldn't have cared!  I need to be a little more bold.
