My theme today was "wrapped" which was perfect because E wrapped her very first gift today. I couldn't get a picture of that happening because it was for me. But I love that she did it with such care (she insisted on taking the bow off a gift for her to use on mine) so this is the only gift under our tree with a bow on it. I'm lazy like that; mostly I didn't buy bows. She's practically bursting at the seams to tell me what's inside. It is so fun to have a child old enough to know what giving is.
It is sitting on the bows of our Christmas tree rather than in a heap below them; that makes my heart smile. I also love that I am getting more comfortable with low-light. Maybe continually forgetting to pull my camera out during the day is a good thing:)
I'm happy with this picture, while it doesn't capture my favorite things, people, it does capture some of the Christmas magic going on around here. I love that it's darker around the edges (not a photoshop effect, all camera) and that the gift is framed by all the beautiful needles.
We are going to be away at Hub's parents house for a few days, so I won't be able to post until we get back, but I will continue to take pictures daily and I'll load them all when we're home. Hopefully I can capture some really special moments with family.
