day 4: daily run

 

Today we went to visit a few friends that just had babies.  When we got home, it was so nice            (on Dec 4!!!) that we had to stay outside and play longer.

My kids make the daily run up and down our sidewalk often.  They love to play "chase" and they would run this sidewalk all day long if I let them.  I apologize for 2 black/white pictures in a row, but the sky was so yucky today it was ruining the emotion of my kiddos.  

I love the way E's hair bounces as she runs.  She gets those arms swinging and it melts my heart.  B trudges along, feet barely leaving the floor, but making surprisingly good time.  He gets about half way down the sidewalk only to turn around because E has reached the end and is on her way back.  This kid is a serious problem solver; he figures things out.  It's amazing to watch his little mind work.  I love my job.

This is the same picture as above, just cropped differently.  So I think it still counts as "1 picture a day":)   As a photographer, I love the first picture better because of it's compositional components. But as a mother, I love this one.  This is my life.  Everyday.  And now  I get to remember this forever.

In both photos, I wish the power boxes weren't there, but my photoshop skills/time it would take to make it look natural make it impossible for me to do right now.  And while it isn't as pleasing to the eye, it is also part of my memory.  My kids LOVE climbing on those boxes.
