day 64: dark

I'm enjoying following daily photo prompts.  I would be completely content to only take pictures of my children each day, but prompts force me to stretch myself and think creatively.  For today's "dark" prompt, I stepped outside my front door and photographed my wreath.  There are such interesting shadows and textures.  I really enjoyed letting my eye play with the light that was falling from our porch light and the deep red of the berries is beautiful to me.

While, of course, I love prompts, that doesn't keep me from photographing other precious moments during the day.  Today I found B in his rocking chair, cuddled up with a blanket, a book, and Elsa.  That pretty much describes this little man; although how he got that big blanket on him, I'll never know!  I love reading to him, but man alive, I have to get up sometime!  You should hear the cries that ensue when I have to leave to get something else accomplished or "gasp!" help E.  It's good to be needed.
